A custom WordPress website in 15 hours

Well I have been pretty quiet the last month and that is due to the fact that I have been pushing out a rush website. Being a print designer for the last four years and only getting two classes of web design in collage it wouldn’t be wrong to say I am a bit rusty with code. I do have a fundamental understanding of programming and armed with this and the internet I went head first.
I haven’t touched WordPress in terms of the code, and so i wanted a nice basic understudying of the logical layout of WordPress and how it works. I fired up Google and did some searching. I saw a lot of confusing “aids” but four sites really gave me the tools I needed. Continue reading

Tools of the Trade: Hardware

Part One

This is part one of a two-part series, the objective is to share the tools that I use to do my job. I mainly do print design and I think that will be clear before long. For this first part I want to focus on the hardware, the physical things that get me through the process, in a future post I will go over the software or digital tools that I use. While these tools may not work for everyone, I claim no magic bullet to getting work done but it may give a better idea of my workflow.
